In 2012 we met here in St Andrews as undergraduates students, as proud university student ambassadors, as young adults who grew up in big busy cities, as people who truly admire the beauty that such a wonderful small Scottish town unfolds.
Along our time here in St Andrews, the place which locals call 'the bubble', we started to find peace within. Soon enough came the moment we realise that there will not be a day we wake up not admiring the sun-painted sea, not a time we do not stop by Old Course to take a deep breath of the salty air, not a moment we do not miss the place when we travel. We know, we are enchanted. So, there are only two things to do: adopt two dogs and find something to do here.
Luckily, that did not take long, we soon decided to do what we are good at - show others how lovely the town is and make travellers feel at home here as we do. Now we are proud to be working towards making this amazing town an even more welcoming and cosmopolitan place.

THE HARE NEST
Having started with running a more traditional British guest house style establishment (Doune House) from 2014, we went on to explore more options in other hospitality styles and lunched our popular self-service studios at Melbourne Place in 2019. Then came our newest: in 2021, the two luxury garden cottages we designed and built in Ailim House ground are opening.
This is not where we stop, we would want to keep introducing different locations and services to meet the requirements of all of our guests. It is time to put an image to represent our business. Therefore, HARE NEST!
St Andrews is loved by nature for its miles-long beaches, numerous natural golf courses, forever fresh air and various nature life. Alongside the great diversity of birds, some deers and foxes and occasional whales and seals, hare is the most common natural life to be spotted in St Andrews. They would make many nests out of low bushes and grass to live comfortably above ground and enjoy sunshine with passing people in the light sea breeze.
We want to build our business just like hares, suitable for guests, many in number, convenient in location, and tenacious in life.
